MINOR SURGERY

The surgery is able to carry out minor surgical procedures by appointment. The doctors will be happy to advise you on this.

NON-NHS EXAMINATIONS

The doctors are happy to carry out medicals, eg insurance and driving licences, by appointment outside surgery hours. Please telephone the surgery for an appointment. Please ask at reception for the charges for these services.

PREGNANCY & MIDWIVES

The practice has three midwives who provide ante-natel care. They see patients upstairs.

SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES

If you think you may have contacted a sexually transmitted disease such as Chlamydia, Syphilis or Gonorrhea, it is best to go to the Genitor-urinary Clinic at North Hampshire Hospital, Basingstoke. You can check symptoms on the NHS website. They can quickly do all the necessary tests, organise contact tracing where necessary, and quickly provide all of the treatment necessary. They operate a very good service, and it is completely anonymous.

TRAVEL IMMUNISATIONS

The practice has its own travel clinic www.mytravelclinic.co.uk. Please contact them directly to discuss your travel vaccinations. A charge will be made for certain immunisations and vaccinations which are not covered by the NHS.  It is useful to fill out this travel vaccination form before attending the travel clinic.

FLU VACCINATION

An influenza vaccination is particularly recommended for patients with heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetes, and residents of nursing and rest homes. Please contact the reception staff in October for details and to make an appointment. If you are unable to attend the surgery, a home visit will be arranged to undertake this facility.
