Obtain A Repeat Prescription?

Repeat prescription requests are not taken over the telephone, for medico-legal reasons, as errors can occur in verbal communication.

• Please do not ask the doctor to issue repeat prescriptions during a routine consultation; it may only take an extra minute, but over the course of the day that adds up to an extra five spare appointments.

• Please use the computerised repeat prescription slip where possible.

• We will endeavour to turn round requests for prescriptions within 48 hours.

• If there is more than one repeat prescription, please try to order all items together.

• Please indicate (with a tick or cross) which items are required.

• Post or deliver the request to the surgery.

• The prescription can be sent to your home address, but for this please remember to enclose a stamped addressed envelope. It can also be collected from the surgery.

Some pharmacies have offered to collect prescriptions.
