We run a full appointment system. The surgeries’ opening times are as follows:

POPLEY SURGERY

Monday - Thursday		8.00am - 6.30pm
Friday		8.00am - 6.00pm
		(closed for lunch 1.00 - 2.00pm)

WINKLEBURY BRANCH SURGERY

Monday		8.00 - 11.00am

HOW TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT

Surgeries run from 8.30 - 11.30am and 3.30 -5.30pm.

Routine appointments are available from 8.30 - 11.00am and 3.30 - 5.30pm.

Please contact the surgery to make an appointment with a health professional either by telephone or calling into the surgery.

Same-day appointments for minor illnesses (eg coughs, colds, earaches, routine medication review), telephone advice and appointments may be obtained from the practice nurse (please phone reception).

For appointments with the nurse, please book in advance. Please note, nursing staff can deal with the following:

• Coughs, Colds and Sore Throats
• Contraception
• Hay Fever
• Travel Advice

HOME VISITS

Patients are requested to telephone before 10.30am if a visit is required that day. Emergency visits only will be arranged after that time. Please give the receptionist as much information as possible to enable the doctor to allocate priority to house calls. Please remember that several patients can be seen at the surgery in the time it takes to do a home visit.

TELEPHONE ADVICE

If you wish to talk to a health professional, please contact the receptionist who will ensure the message is passed to the relevant clinician. GPs usually return calls when surgery finishes. Please advise the receptionist if your call is urgent.

WEEKEND AND NIGHT COVER

Hants Doc provide out-of-hours assistance for emergency medical cover between 6.30pm - 8.00am, weekends and bank holidays.

If you need advice urgently outside of surgery hours, please telephone 0118 936 5592 directly or dial the surgery number and listen for the number on the ansaphone.

The NHS Direct service offers helpful advice and is open 24 hours. Tel: 0845 4647

DISABLED ACCESS

At the Bermuda Practice, reserved car parking spaces for the disabled are marked in the car park. Wheelchair access to the building is available.

Patient services are provided at ground floor level. A disabled patients' WC is provided near the front entrance and another is available on the first floor.

If access proves difficult to any of our disabled patients we would be happy to consider any suggestions for improvement.
